Ahoy!
We start this year for the first time a Smash the Cistem trip.
This means that everyone who identifies as agender, non-binary, trans* or inter* and is respectful of other identities is invited to this cruise. We want everyone to be able to feel comfortable. The crew members, however, will be FLINTA*. The crew’s job is to guide the sailing and answer questions, while we fellow sailors take over the ship and decide together what we feel like doing.

No previous sailing experience is required, as you will learn everything you need to know during the trip. The total cost of the trip including food will be from 310-460€ according to your own estimation. If you cannot afford the 310€, please contact us.

The trip is self-organized. That means that we organize cooking, sailing and cleaning together. We want to network, chill, have fun and share knowledge during the trip. So, if you like to bring e.g. a guitar, books to read together, an exciting movie, things to work on creatively or a great workshop concept we would be very happy! There is already a guitar and many board games on board.

There will be a maximum of 33 people participating. We will sleep in 2, 4 and 8 bed cabins.
The food will be vegan. If you need something else to eat or have intolerances/allergies, please let us know.

We ask you to take a Corona quick test on the day of arrival. There will be the possibility to test yourself during the trip as well and we will inform you in detail beforehand.

Also this year we are planning a FLINTA sailing trip on the Lovis. One week (arrival on 09.09.2023 from 18.00 and departure on 16.09.2023 14.00), probably from Simrishamn (Sweden) to Greifswald, sailing and enjaoying the wind and waves.

Previous sailing experience is not required, because you will learn everything necessary on the trip. The total cost of the cruise with meals is from 310€ to 460€ according to self-assessment.

All people who feel invited by a FLINTA sailing trip and are respectful of other identities are invited to this trip. We want everyone to feel comfortable, can. Please read the text below.

The trip is self-organized. That means that we organize cooking and cleaning together. Likewise, all are invited to fill the trip with content. From guitar to kickboxing gloves to your favorite movie, you can bring and contribute everything.

We want to create & live a space on the trip that feels as safe as possible for all who sail with us.

This means:

• It is important to us to have a mindful and collaborative interaction with each other on the ship. Sometimes we have to endure contradictions in the process.
• If someone tells you that you have crossed a boundary, please accept that and try to reflect on it. Boundary crossings can look very different and sometimes you may not even realize that you have transgressed/hurt someone with your behavior or a statement. So if someone brings it to your attention, see it as an opportunity to learn.
• Sensitivity to the state: many FLINTA*s experience state repression on different levels and for different reasons. This is not to be reproduced on the cruise! (Activism is also affected by (state) repression).
• Keep in mind that we are all from different contexts and have different experiences.
• Don’t question the identity of others: you can’t tell a person what gender they are or what pronouns they use.
• We as an orga don’t know all the people who sign up & sail along, and we can’t and don’t want to do a background check or anything. So it may be that people are sailing with whom you might not actually spend a vacation.
• You may have questions in advance. Please call or write us. Many things can be clarified in advance. We are looking forward to it.

The Lovis-FLINTA-Trip Team

As the name suggests, we want to sail with several generations: parents with their parents, aunts with their nieces, siblings with their children or people who want to come on board on their own and enjoy sailing together and intergenerational exchange. we would like to discuss, sail, tell stories, play games, walk along beaches, listen to the wind and have a wonderful time together aboard.

The cost contribution for the trip is 310-460 EUR according to your own assessment, children come for 50% of the cost contribution (6-15 years, younger children according to self-assesment).
We would be very happy if you could organise a journey that does not involve a flight.

Concerning the contents we want to deal with the following topic: “1968 till now – emancipation, environmental movement, peace movement and now letzte Generation? Split into young and old? were are we ourselves in this? do we hope or do we give up? what do we do and what don’t we do?” all ideas and thoughts are welcome.

Together with you, we want to create a space for musical exchange and experimentation between musicians on the sea. In small and larger groups, you can jam, improvise, or give small concerts on board at any opportunity. In the cities we sail to, we want to use pedestrian zones and public places for making music together. In the evenings we could give concerts together at the harbor, e.g. with the Lovis as a stage. Nothing is necessary, everything is possible!

Based on the experience of the previous tours, we want to use the common space more for the exchange of skills and experiences – be it musically, in terms of content, or in terms of stage presence/appearance etc.
Already existing groups are as welcome as single musicians. Your music and instruments should be compatible to road and ship (i.e. rather mobile) and should not require major technical equipment. You should be able to play/improvise well with other musicians.

Cost contribution incl. meals 310 to 460 € p.p. depending on self-assessment (Even 310 euros are too much for you? Please let us know in time, then it’s no problem. Then you can still come along! :-))

Do you like to sail, dance, sing and make music? Then come join us!
During the day we sail and make music, in the evening in the harbor we have plenty of space for dancing. For example, there can be a waltz workshop on board, Swedish dances to live music or improvisation dance. Many things are possible! Feel free to bring musical instruments.
Previous experience is not necessary.

We set sail and sail around the Åland Islands between Sweden and Finland! Everybody defining as women, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans or agender and all children are welcome to sail together on the Lovis from July 19-29. No matter if you already know all the knots and how to navigate in your sleep or if it’s your first time in the waves: There will be enough time on our trip to learn how to sail the Lovis from scratch. Everyone pitches in! During the 10 days you will have the opportunity to learn how to read charts, navigate, practice knots, steer or just lie on the deck and enjoy the sea.
Besides the daily sailing routine, we want to dedicate ourselves to the topic of resistance at sea. The sea has always been a rebellious place. Free and enslaved people fought here against colonialism, climate activists stand up against the destruction of the ecosystem of the sea and migrants and sea rescuers resist the European border regime. In times of escalating crises, it is important to remain resistant and to strengthen ourselves together. We want to do this with different methods: storytelling, making zines, reading out texts, listening to podcasts on the topics, painting transpis, planning joint actions – all impulses that you bring with you are conceivable. The sailing area also gives us an interesting inspiration: after years of conflicts with Sweden and Finland, the Åland Islands have been an autonomous region since 1920. And: since 1921 the archipelago is demilitarized. What that means exactly, we will find out on the spot.

Through rough seas- Engagement in times of complex crises.
Climate crisis, armed conflicts and wars, pandemic consequences at various levels: at present it is difficult not to lose hope for improvement, an end of the conflicts and peaceful coexistence on the planet. How do we manage to remain capable of action in the face of the current situation? What gives us hope and how can we strengthen our self-efficacy?
On the 3-country-trip from 8.7.-18.7.2023, (arrival the evening before) which will take us from Liepaja (Latvia) via Estonia to Turku (Finland), we will do a lot of sailing, see and visit beautiful landscapes and islands, and have time to discuss and try out in practice issues, emotions and helpful strategies. People of all ages are welcome, however it is a trip that involves a lot of distance so we will be doing a lot of sailing, some of it overnight.
We would be very happy if you could organise a journey that does not involve a flight. There are ferries to both, Latvia and Finland and maybe we can support you with some advices?

On our trip we want to explore the connection between Sailing and Art. The movement of a sailing ship is influenced by wind, weather and waves and people on the sea have always drawn or documented what they saw. We want to be inspired by this and draw, paint and write creatively with you. This trip is a unique possibility to experience nature from a different perspective and embrace your creative side.
We want to offer possibilities of mutual learning. If you want to share a skill, you’re welcome to. We’ll have a few materials on board. But we advise you bring your preferred creative tools or the ones you want to share with others.
In the end we want to produce a logbook that summarizes the events at sea.

We welcome all people. But we do not accept any forms of discrimination. Keep in mind that it is a long distance trip, so we will be sailing a lot, probably overnight.
We would be very happy if you could organise a journey to and from the island that doesn’t involve a flight. Stralsund is easy to get to by train and there are ferries to Latvia.
 The cost including food for adults is between 610-930€ according to self-assessment, children up to 15 years pay 50%.

A tack is usually faster than a jibe. But perhaps – depending on which way the wind is blowing – you won’t reach your destination without a jibe? How is the energy transition going? Do we also need the system jibe? Or is it all happening on the side anyway? Is it even possible to do one without the other? And who is actually taking care of it? There will be an exchange on board. And of course: beautiful sailing and the finest Danish South Seas. No previous knowledge necessary, just a desire for people, sailing and the topic.

To all musicians and people, who like making music, no matter which instrument, voice, or which style you prefer…! Make music and sail the Baltic Sea with strong winds in our sails. We want to offer a space for musical exchange and experiments for both bands and individual musicians on the open sea. Smaller and bigger groups can jam together, improvise or give a concert on the ship or onshore. There are lots of small port towns where we can make music everywhere -may it be a pedestrian zone or the harbour itself, individually or in groups. We can also use Lovis as a stage.

In addition to the musical activities, sailing also has its place. Everyone joins in! On the journey, the sails are set and hoisted together with the ship’s crew, the ship is cleaned, the cooking is done and all the necessary tasks are carried out together.

Existing groups and individual musicians are all warmly welcome. Especially as an individual musician i’s important to be able to improvise together with other musicians. Your music and your instruments should fit to the ship and to the street (rather unplugged, portable and without huge technical equipment). Unfortunately the ship has no piano, but it offers enough space even for bigger instruments like a double-bass.

This means that together we will look at what the weather and our mood offer and take care of the safe and fun progress with Lovis in alternating shifts. In addition to lookouts, navigation, steering and sailing manoeuvres, we also enjoy good conversations, games and delicious food. And even though we have quite a distance to cover, we will certainly find the opportunity to anchor or moor up in a nice harbour every now and then. Previous experience is not a prerequisite, much can be learned and tried out during the trip.

Do you like sailing, making music, singing and dancing? Then come with us!
During the days we want to sail and make music, in the evenings there is a lot of space in the harbours to dance. There could be a salsa workshop, or french dances to live music, or improvised dancing. So much is possible.
You are very welcome to bring your instruments.
We start at Dieppe (France) and sail along the channel to Scheveningen
(Netherlands). There is no previous experience needed.

The cost contribution for the 8 days varies between 320 and 480 EUR – depending on your appraisal.

Care work is everywhere: if at home, in institutions like hospitals, nursing homes or schools. We always do care work, when we care for others, our direct sources of life or ourselves. Nevertheless in our society this work is understated and often low-payed – we want to change that! You already deal with care – politically, as a job and/or personally- or you are already active in the Care Revolution network? Come to the Care Revolution Sailing trip! We will spend 5 days together on the ship, where we want to get into a dialogue about the topics we work on at the moment, what happens in the regional groups of the network and we want to network with each other, maybe to start new projects. Enjoying the sailing, wind and weather and personal exchange will of course have enough space as well.

During the trip we want to focus on 3 levels of care:

1. regional – care and Care Revolution where you live, everyday life, regional groups and organisation.
2. transregional – presentation and discussion on the planned campaign of the Care Revolution Network.
3. global – understanding care in terms of global economic relations and migration.

There will also be room for your own questions, topics and methods.

The cost contribution for this trip varies between 180 and 260 EUR, you can choose the amount you pay, regarding your financial means. This includes the hole use of the ship and meals (eco and vegan). Costs for arrival and departure to Kappeln are not included. Your participation should not depend on the money – if you are not able to pay the minimum contribution, you are very welcome to text me, so that we can find a solution. We will organise childcare on-site and collective.

Deutsch-polnischer Frauen*törn auf der Lovis

Wir wollen auf offener See einen Raum für musikalischen Austausch und Experimente zwischen Bands und auch Einzelmusiker*innen ermöglichen.

Wir wollen zusammen kreativ werden und überlegen, wer, was, wie, wohin und warum wächst – ob wir erwachsen sind oder werden wollen.

Wir segeln von Dänemark durch Kattegat und die wunderschönen Schären der schwedischen Westküste.

Der FLT-Törn auf der Lovis findet auch in diesem Jahr wieder statt. Eine Woche wollen wir in der dänischen Südsee übers Meer fahren und Wind und Wellen genießen.

Der Greifswalder Bodden lockt mit seinem herbstlichen Charme! Noch ist
das Wasser warm, die Zickerschen Berge beginnen sich bunt zu verfärben
und einige Vögel sammeln sich bereits zum Zug. Nur die immer sichbaren
Türme des ehemaligen KKW lässt das kalt.

Da der letzte Mehrgenerationentörn auf der Lovis so unglaublich schön war, gibt’s den dieses Jahr gleich nochmal!

Wir wollen auf offener See einen Raum für musikalischen Austausch und Experimente zwischen Bands und auch Einzelmusiker*innen ermöglichen.

Lust im Frühjahr segelnd die Ostsee unsicher zu machen? Alle, die sich als Frau, Lesbe und/oder Transpersonen definieren, sind eingeladen, sich anzumelden.

Selbstbehauptung und Selbstverteidigung für Frauen* auf der Lovis

Unser Weg wird uns in die Dänische Südsee führen. Tagsüber segeln und kochen wir gemeinsam, nachts legen wir im Hafen an oder verbringen die Nacht vor Anker auf dem Meer beim Sternschnuppen zählen.

In dieser Woche liegt der Schwerpunkt auf einer Schönheitskur sowohl für den Stahl als auch für das Holz – wir wollen anschleifen, reinigen und malen!

Jedes Jahr im Herbst machen sich zigtausende Vögel auf den kräftezehrenden Weg aus ihren Brutgebieten im hohen Norden, um der nahrungsarmen Jahreszeit auszuweichen.

Die schwimmende Schreib- und Theaterwerkstatt in der dänischen Karibik

Überall hört man immer von dieser “Freiheit” aber was ist das eigentlich?

Was du schon immer übers Segeln wissen wolltest, bei diesem Törn kannst
du es erfahren.
Gemeinsam mit anderen kannst du Kenntnisse auffrischen, Segelmanöver üben
oder selbst den Kurs bestimmen. Navigation mit traditionellen und modernen
Hilfsmitteln gehört ebenso dazu wie Knoten- und Wetterkunde.

Das Institut für Geschichte der Universität Greifswald fährt auf der Lovis zum Thema \\\Hanse und Seefahrtsgeschichte\\\”. Gesucht werden noch Mitreisende und Mitgestaltende.”

Eine Seereise für Kinder mit Erwachsenen
Ein seltsames Phänomen verwundert die Crew der Lovis: Dauernd fehlt etwas!

Lust im Sommer segelnd die Ostsee unsicher zu machen?
Wie immer können Frauen, Lesben und Transgender jeden Alters mitkommen.

Eine Woche lang setzen wir jeden Tag die Segel und erkunden den Ostseeraum rund um Rügen. Wenn wir abends in die Häfen einlaufen, bietet sich die Möglichkeit, die Küste und Hafenstädte kennen zu lernen. Fest steht, dass wir in Greifswald starten und enden werden, der Weg dazwischen wird von Wind, Wetter sowie unserer Lust und Laune bestimmt.

In drei Hafenstädten gibt’s Programm und zwischendrin werden wir ohne feste Route und je nach Wind- und Wetterverhältnissen segeln …

Beide unserer Hauptfahrtgebiete streifen wir bei diesem Törn: Von unserem Heimathafen Greifswald, vorbei an Rügen über die Dänische Südsee bis nach Kiel! Wer Lust hat, ein bisschen Strecke zu segeln, sei dabei.

Lust im Sommer segelnd die Ostsee unsicher zu machen?

Das Bildungsschiff Lovis ist durch die Willkür deutscher Behörden bedroht und soll nicht mehr fahren dürfen. Das ehrenamtliche Projekt, das seit 13 Jahren mit Jugendgruppen zu gesellschaftspolitischen Themen auf der Nord- und Ostsee fährt, steht damit vor dem Aus.

Um für den Erhalt der Schiffe sowie für gesellschaftliche Freiräume auf See zu kämpfen, startet das Lovis-Projekt mit einer Auftaktveranstaltung in Kiel eine Kampagne.

Im ehemaligen Abschiebegefängnis gibt es einen Monat lang diverse Ausstellungen und Veranstaltungen zum Thema europäische Außengrenzen. Mit dabei die Ausstellung \\\Augen zeugen\\\”

Die Schifffahrt, das Leben in Hafenstädten und das enge Leben auf dem Schiff, ist ein archetypisches Bild des kulturellen Zusammenfließens und Vermischens – geschichtlich wie gegenwärtig.

Hier treffen zahlreiche Ideen, Interpretationen, Objekte, Strukturen, Geschichten und Menschen aufeinander.

Wie leben Menschen am Meer und auf See und wie kann man diesen Lebensraum
aus ethnologischer Perspektive betrachten?

Vom finnischen Kokkola aus segeln wir die schwedische Küste hinauf, bis ans Ende der Bottnischen Wiek, wo der Torneälv bei Haparanda ins Meer mündet. Weiter geht es durch die Schärenwelt bis nach Umeå in Västerbotten. Wir fahren tags und nachts, tauchen ein in die Inselwelt des Bottnischen Meerbusens und erkunden die nördlichen Schären Schwedens mit ihrer ursprünglichen Natur, ihren Vogel- und Pflanzenarten und ihrem nordischen Licht.
Während der Bildungsfahrt wollen wir uns mit skandinavischen Traditionen und nordischer Kultur beschäftigen: Bücher von nordischen Verfassern wie beispielsweise von Åsa Larsson oder Mikael Niemi lesen und vorlesen, Filme von skandinavischen Filmemachern wie Aki Kaurismäki oder Pernilla August anschauen, Musik hören oder selber machen, Grundkenntnisse in Schwedisch lernen, KUBB spielen und landestypische Gerichte zubereiten.

Willst du zwei Sommerwochen lang segeln, an Deck rumlungern, Inseln bewandern, den Klüverbaum über eine Schäre strecken, um das Schiff herum schwimmen?

333 Stunden zwischen Turku und Kokkola. 333 Stunden in einem eigenen Mikrokosmos weit weg vom Alltag. Und dann? Das entscheidest du!

Denn das Programm ist das, was du mitbringst: Vergessene Piratenlieder grölen? Einen Vogelstimmenimitationswettbewerb ausrufen? Die anderen aus deiner Wache zu einem 24-Stunden Jonglage-Marathon überreden? Eine Exkursion in die mückenverseuchten finnischen Sümpfe leiten?
Seefahrtsromantikbashing betreiben? Oder doch über Europas Flüchtlingspolitik diskutieren?

Start und Ziel ist Kappeln an der Schlei.

Der Kostenbeitrag liegt bei 260 bis 340 Euro nach Selbsteinschätzung.
Darin enthalten sind die komplette Schiffsnutzung, Hafengebühren und Verpflegung.

Wir nehmen die Erde mit aufs Wasser, lassen uns vom Wind treiben und sind gespannt, was das Feuer mit der Erde macht.

Am 18. März 2000 wurde die Lovis getauft. Sechs Wochen später begann mit der ersten Fahrt auch die erste Saison…
